What should I use instead?

For a code you can change after printing: the QRFLOW generator (free for static, Premium for dynamic), or ask Claude or ChatGPT with the connector on. For a quick one-off image, Gemini on its own is fine.

Will the Gemini app get connectors?

Google has not announced a date for custom connectors in the consumer Gemini app. Gemini CLI, Google's developer tool, already supports remote MCP servers, which is usually the first step.
