QRFLOW.codes is an app in Zapier. Connect your account once and any Zap can make a QR code, change where a printed code goes, look a code up by name or pull its scan numbers. A scan can start a Zap too. The codes land in your dashboard like any other, and they keep working after printing because they are dynamic.
Connect QRFLOW to Zapier
- 1Add a QRFLOW step
In the Zap editor, add a trigger or action and search for QRFLOW.codes.
- 2Sign in
Choose Sign in. A QRFLOW window opens: sign in if you are not already, check what Zapier is asking for and press Allow.
- 3Pick the account
Back in the Zap, the connection shows your QRFLOW email. Pick it in any QRFLOW step from now on.
Zapier never sees your password. Account › Connected apps lists the connection; Disconnect there ends it at once, and the codes it made stay.
Triggers, actions and searches
Triggers (start a Zap)
- New ScanInstant. Runs when someone scans one of your codes, or one code you pick, with the time, device, country, city and referrer. Business plan.
- New QR CodeRuns when a code is made in your account, from the site, the API, an assistant or another Zap.
Actions (do something)
- Create QR CodeA dynamic code for a web address, in your colors. Returns the short link, the download links and the PNG as a file.
- Update QR CodeChange where a printed code goes, rename it, or pause and resume it.
Searches (look something up)
- Find QR CodeBy name. Tick Create if it doesn't exist yet to make it when nothing matches.
- Find Scan StatsScan totals for one code over the last few days, by day, country, city, device, browser, OS or referrer.
Tip. Every QR code step outputs QR Code Image, a PNG file. Map it into Gmail, Slack, Google Drive or a print service and the image goes with it. The PNG and SVG download links are signed for 24 hours; the file does not expire.
Zaps people build
- New row in Google Sheets → Create QR Code → write the short link back into the row. One code per ticket, asset or badge.
- New order or new ticket sale → Create QR Code → email the buyer their code as an attachment.
- New Scan → post in Slack: "Someone scanned the lobby poster, from Las Vegas, on a phone."
- Every Monday → Find Scan Stats → email last week's numbers for the menu code.
- Event moved → Find QR Code by name → Update QR Code with the new page. Every printed flyer now opens it.
Tip. Making codes for a whole sheet at once rather than row by row? The Google Sheets™ add-on does it from inside the sheet, with no Zap to build.
What each plan can do in Zapier
Zapier follows your QRFLOW plan, like the dashboard does. On the free plan a Zap can make codes; the first one is dynamic and the rest are saved as static, which the Dynamic field in the step's output tells you. Premium makes every code dynamic and lets Zaps change where codes point. New Scan uses webhooks, which are part of Business.
When a step needs a higher plan, the Zap run shows QRFLOW's own message, such as "Webhooks need the Business plan.", instead of a vague error.
If a step fails
- "Destination URL must be one web address": the field has a space, a tab or two addresses in it. Map a single URL. An address without https:// gets it added for you.
- "Only dynamic codes can change destination": the code was saved as static, usually because it was made on the free plan after the first one. Make the code again on Premium.
- "No such code in this account": the code was deleted, or the Zap is connected to a different QRFLOW account than the one that owns the code.
- "Your QRFLOW.codes connection needs to be refreshed": reconnect it in Zapier. This happens after 90 days without any use, or after a disconnect on the QRFLOW side.
Pick the plan that fits
Free never expires. Premium is $4 a month for dynamic codes and scan analytics. Business is $29 for link domains, a team of five and the API.
