Real advice on using QR codes in the wild. Built for individuals and teams that want results, not buzzwords.
Get started
Quickstart: your first QR code in 30 seconds
Pick a type, fill the form, and download your first QR code in about a minute. No signup for a static code; save it if you want to change it later.
Static vs dynamic QR codes
Static codes bake the content into the image and are free. Dynamic codes use a short link you can edit anytime and come with Premium ($4 a month).
Is there a QRFLOW app for my phone?
No app to install. QRFLOW runs in your phone's browser, and you can add it to the home screen so it opens like an app.
Moving from another QR provider: what can come with you
What happens to codes you already printed when you switch QR providers, the one case where the printed code keeps working, and the plan that avoids a reprint.
Generate codes
Using the generator
How the generator works: the type tabs, the More picker for specific kinds, the live preview that updates as you type, and the status line under it.
Customize colors, logo, and frame
Change foreground and background, add a center logo, wrap the code in a scan-me frame. Live preview updates instantly.
Using your code in Canva, Shopify and other tools
How a QRFLOW code gets into a Canva design, onto a Shopify product, into a Google Form or a WordPress page. Download once, place it anywhere.
Google Sheets™ add-on: a dynamic QR code for every row
Install QRFLOW for Google Sheets™, pick the column of web addresses and get a QR code, short link and scan count in every row. Premium plan.
QR code types
Every QR code type we support
Every QR content type QRFLOW supports: the seven native types every phone camera reads without an app, plus shortcuts for social, messaging, payments and media.
Wi-Fi QR code not connecting? WPA, WEP and hidden networks
Why a Wi-Fi QR code scans but does not connect: the security type, hidden networks, typos in the name, and captive portals. Fixes for each.
vCard QR codes: what shows up on iPhone and Android
Which contact fields the code carries, how each phone handles them, and how to keep the code small enough to print on a card.
GS1 Digital Link QR codes for product packaging
Business: a single QR code that carries the GTIN, opens a web page for shoppers and still scans at the register. Fields, formats and what the code encodes.
Save & manage
Save, rename, and organize your codes
Everything you can do from the Dashboard once a code is saved: rename, search, filter by type, duplicate a style, and delete safely.
Bulk generation with CSV
Upload a CSV and get back a ZIP of PNGs: up to 500 codes per batch, 2,000 on Business. The two columns the file needs, and the plans that include it.
Downloading PNG, SVG, and print-ready files
Pick the right download: PNG for screens and quick prints, SVG for designers and large print, and the size that keeps a code sharp at any scale.
Change where a QR code points
Edit the destination of a dynamic code after printing. The printed code stays the same; only the link behind it changes.
How big should a QR code be when printed?
The one-tenth rule: a code read from 3 ft (1 m) away needs to be 4 in (10 cm) wide. The quiet zone, and safe sizes for cards, flyers, posters and windows.
Test a QR code before you print 500 of them
A five-minute checklist before you print a QR code: size, quiet zone, contrast, the link itself, and a scan test on two phones that catches reprint mistakes.
Link names: go.yourbrand.com/menu instead of a random code
Premium and Business: give each dynamic code a readable name on your own domain. Both the name and the random code keep working.
Track scans
Read your scan analytics
What each number on the Analytics tab means: scans, unique visitors, source, cities, hour of day, and how to export the history as CSV.
Export your scan history to CSV
Premium: download every scan of a code as a spreadsheet, what the columns mean, and how to use it in Excel or Google Sheets.
Unique visitors, repeat scans and bots
Why total scans and unique visitors differ, which scans we do not count, and what a sudden spike usually means.
What we record when someone scans your code
Exactly what a QR code scan stores and what it does not: no cookie, no saved IP address, no name. How unique visitors are counted without either one.
Security & access
How to password-protect a QR code
Premium: put a password in front of a dynamic code. Set it, test it, change or remove it later, and what the person scanning sees.
Set an expiration date on a QR code
Premium: stop a code from redirecting after a date and time, change the date later, and what scanners see afterwards.
Pause and resume a QR code
Turn a dynamic code off without deleting it, and back on later. The link and the analytics survive, scanners see a paused page, and it works on every plan.
Account & billing
Your account and profile
Sign up, sign in with Google or email, change your email or password, manage the subscription, and delete your account and its data.
Use your own domain for QR links
Premium and Business: print a short link on a subdomain you own instead of ours. One DNS record, about five minutes. Premium connects one domain, Business five.
Plans, upgrades, and billing
What Free, Premium ($4 a month) and Business ($29) include, how to upgrade or downgrade, and how to cancel without losing the codes you already printed.
Team seats: work on one account with your own logins
Business: invite up to four people by email as editors or viewers. They work inside your account; billing, domains and keys stay yours.
Use QRFLOW from Claude, ChatGPT and other AI assistants
Connect QRFLOW to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or Claude Code once, then ask for QR codes in plain words. How to connect, what it can do, how to disconnect.
Use QRFLOW with Zapier
Make, re-point and look up dynamic QR codes from any Zap, and start a Zap when someone scans. Connect once, then pair QRFLOW with the apps you already use.
API keys: create and manage codes from your own systems
Business: a key that lets your website, POS or back office create codes, change where dynamic codes point and read scan numbers.
Webhooks: get told when a code is scanned or changed
Business webhooks: the four events, the signed payload, how to check the signature, when scan batches arrive, and what happens when your endpoint goes down.
Sign in with Google or email, and reset your password
The two ways to sign in, what to do when the confirmation email never arrives, and how to reset a forgotten password.
Cancel, downgrade or switch your plan
How to cancel Premium or Business, what happens to your dynamic codes afterwards, and how to switch between monthly and annual.
Refunds, receipts and invoices
Where to find receipts and invoice PDFs in the billing portal, how to add a company name or VAT number to an invoice, and how refund requests are handled.
Delete your account and your data
What deleting your QRFLOW account removes, what happens to printed dynamic codes when it is gone, and how to export your codes and scan data before you do it.
What the free plan includes, and where it stops
Exactly what you get without paying: every code type, unlimited static codes, unmarked downloads with an account, and one dynamic code. Free never expires.
Favorites: saved styles and saved articles
Two kinds of favorites: a customize style you can reuse on other codes, and blog posts you want to come back to.
Embed the free QR generator on your own site
Add a working QR code generator to a blog post or resource page with one snippet. Free, with a small attribution line.
