The short answer: codes you printed with another provider cannot be moved here, with one exception that is worth checking before you reprint anything. Nothing about this is a QRFLOW limit; it is how dynamic codes work everywhere.
Why a printed dynamic code cannot move
A dynamic code does not carry your destination. It carries a short link belonging to whoever made it, and that company redirects it. If the printed link says theirshortener.com/a7f2, those four characters live on their domain, and no other company can answer for it.
A static code is the opposite and equally stuck: the destination is baked into the pattern itself. There is nothing to move, and remaking the same code here changes nothing about what is already printed.
The exception: you printed your own domain

If the printed links are on a domain you own, such as go.yourbrand.com/menu, the printed codes can keep working. The domain is yours, so you can point it here instead.
- 1Check what is actually printed
Scan one and read the link. It has to be your domain, not the provider's.
- 2Check the paths will fit
QRFLOW link names are 3 to 40 characters, lowercase letters, numbers and dashes. menu and spring-sale are fine; a random path with capitals like /aB3xQ cannot be recreated.
- 3Connect the domain here and recreate each name
Make a code for each printed path and give it the same link name. go.yourbrand.com/menu then answers from QRFLOW.
- 4Switch the DNS last, and test one code first
Until the DNS moves, the old provider still answers. After it moves, scan a printed copy before you cancel anything.
Heads up. Every path you do not recreate stops working the moment the domain moves. Make the list from the printed material, not from memory, and keep the old account open until every code has been scanned and checked.
What does come across easily
- Your list of destinations. Export it from the old provider as a CSV and make the new codes in one pass with bulk generation.
- Your design. Colors, a logo and a frame are settings here, not a file you have to move.
- Your scan history, as numbers. Export the old CSV and keep it. Past scans cannot be loaded into QRFLOW analytics, which start at zero for a new code.
The plan that avoids a reprint
- Make every new code here from today, so nothing new is printed on a provider you are leaving.
- Leave the old account paid until the last item carrying its codes is out of circulation. A table tent lasts months; a billboard lasts a year.
- If the old provider lets you edit destinations, point their codes at your new QRFLOW links. Scans then pass through them to you, which buys time but still depends on their account staying alive.
- Reprint the long-lived pieces first, with your own domain this time. That is the step that means you never have to do this again.
